Patrick is an audio engineer, acoustician and educator. He is passionate about pushing the boundaries of our understanding of live audio topics and developing training and resources in these areas. This blog is an outlet for a range of Patrick’s thoughts and explorations into live audio issues and will hopefully serve as an educational resource in these areas.
Patrick currently works as a Sales Engineer for the SFL Group, one of the UK’s leading audio-visual companies, delivering live event production solutions, technical sales and installations to venues across the UK. Patrick has previously worked for SFL as a Production Engineer, as an AV Technician at Central Hall in Southampton, and as a freelance Sound and Production Engineer for festivals, tours and venues around the UK and Europe.
Patrick has worked as a front-of-house, monitors, and audio systems engineer with many household name artists. A few notable accolades include commedians such as Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Jason Manford and Micky Flanagan; and musical acts including Rizzlekicks, KT Tunstall, Jamie Cullum, Eliza Doolittle, White Snake, Beardyman, Jools Holland, Rolf Harris, Richard Thompson, Joe Brown, and Toots and the Maytals.
Patrick has a BEng in Acoustical Engineering from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton, one of the world’s top academic institutes for the study of acoustics.
