The Line Array Project

The Line Array Project is an exploration of line array phenomena and their deployment in live audio applications.

Want to really understand line array? There are a lot of resources out there, but most are limited in the depth of their detail at best and promulgate outright myths at worst. I wanted to go deeper, developing a mathematical model that accurately describes line array and then analysing and testing it in order to further understand exactly how line array behaves, why it behaves as it does, and how our design decisions influence that behaviour.

Through this series of posts I present a general introduction to modern line array systems, before going on to share some original research that I believe is helpful to developing a more thorough understanding of line array behaviour.
